belleayre-logo.gifSaturday, February 4 Is the Next Scout Day at Belleayre Mountain Highmount, N.Y. - Take your skiing to the next level with the Amateur Ski Instructors Association at the annual Bump Fest at Belleayre Mountain on February 4 and 5. No matter how advanced your skiing is any instructor can tell you there is always room for improvement and the ASIA clinic is the place to do it. Don't be intimidated by moguls. Learn how to attack them with confidence at this advanced two day clinic that covers Intermediate Skiing Improvement, Mogul Introduction, and Mogul Improvement. Use this clinic to master those pesky moguls that pile up when the powder gets pushed around focusing on tactics for skiing the troughs, sides, and ridges. To learn more about ASIA and the clinics they offer call 845-679-4609. On Saturday, Feb. 4, all Scouts and their families are invited to the next Scout Day at Belleayre Mountain. All Scouts and their immediate family members ski for just $37 per person with $25 rentals. Simply bring a valid Scout ID to any ticket window to receive the discount for the entire family. Additionally all Scouts are entitled to a free any level group lesson with the purchase of their area use ticket. Groups of 15 or more are required to make reservations in advance by calling ext. 2474.  All those interested in taking the Scout Merit Badge Program must be blue square skiers/boarders or better. On Saturday, February 4 be sure to be here for the Commissioner's Cup Race for Kids that will take place on the Belleayre NASTAR course on Lower Yahoo. This fun race for skiers and snowboarders 17 and younger is only $5 to cover the NASTAR fee. Registration is from 8-10 am in the Garden Room in Overlook Lodge. The race will start at 10:30 on Lower Yahoo and the Awards ceremony will take place at 3 pm outside Overlook Lodge. $25 Customer Appreciation Wednesdays and Fridays are back at Belleayre for the rest of the season except holiday periods. Belleayre Mountain is a year-round outdoor recreation area in the Catskill Mountains operated by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.  The Belleayre Music Festival is a non-profit 501c3 organization that partners with Belleayre Mountain to promote art and culture in the Catskill Mountains.
