belleayrelogo.jpgHighmount, NY - With the cold temperatures staying well north of the region, last weekend's scheduled opening of the Belleayre Ski Center was again postponed. Now, Belleayre has its sights set on next weekend with a planned opening of Friday, November 27th, when it is hoped that Mother Nature will cooperate by bringing some much-anticipated cold air down from Canada. Belleayre plans to open with a traditional $25 ticket price. With the entire Northeast covered with unseasonably warm temperatures, everyone is anxiously awaiting the arrival of winter. It will only take a couple of cold nights to blanket several trails with enough snow to offer skiers and riders an enjoyable experience. And with each passing night, more trails will be covered, groomed and ready for action. The snow making system is tested and ready to go. There is still time to take advantage of our Early Bird Discounts on all season passes and packages which are in effect until November 30th. So don't delay. Get your passes now by visiting and save some money. Starting December 1st, the inaugural Catskill Region frequent skier card will go on sale offering skiers and riders a 20 percent discount at five regional ski areas. Belleayre, Hunter, Windham, Plattekill and Holiday Mountain have teamed up to offer the CATS Card. For a one-time price of $25, you can enjoy a discount at the five participating ski areas. You may purchase your personalized CATS Card by visiting or calling (800) NYS-CATS (697-2287). Mark your calendars for Belleayre's first Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, December 11th with $25 lift tickets all day. On Dec. 12 and 13th, the ASIA Fall Rally Race Program begins and on Saturday, December 19th, you can have your picture taken with Santa. And that is just a taste of things to come at the Belleayre Ski Center, New York's Winter Snow Park. So keep an eye on the weather forecast and check in with Belleayre Mountain's Snow Phone at (800) 942-6904 for the latest conditions. Belleayre is a year-round outdoor recreation center in the Catskill Mountains operated by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
