Wolcott, N.Y. - Once again, the Wolcott Area Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club are gearing up for the Fifth annual Central New York Wine & Jazz Fest. The event will be held Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 from 11a.m. - 8p.m. in historic downtown Wolcott, NY. This Agra-tourism event is proud to continue promoting and showcasing Central New York's increasing popularity in the production of fine wines and artisan distillers. "It is quickly becoming a major summer experience in our region" said event chair Sherri Sheldon. "Almost immediately after last years festival I began receiving e-mails and calls from interested wineries, vendors and musicians who heard about the success of the fest and wanted to be part of the 2013 event." This year we have fifteen Upstate NY wineries scheduled to offer tasting and sales amidst a backdrop of free live jazz entertainment which includes Andy Stobie and the Greater Finger Lakes Jazz Orchestra performing at 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.; The John Cole Blues Band from 2:30p.m.- 5:00 p.m. and headliner, Gap Mangione and the New Blues Band at 5:30 p.m. In addition to great wine & music there will be high-end vendors offering superior cheeses, jewelry and other artisan creations. The entertainment and access to non-wine vendors is free to the public as well as free parking.
