Circle Line8-Hour Weekend Excursion Series Features German-Themed Food and Drink Specials, Live Music, and Unbeatable Views of Fall Foliage

New York, NY (August 24, 2022) – Circle Line, home of New York City’s most iconic sightseeing cruises, will kick off the Fall season with the return of its annual Bear Mountain Cruise, featuring on-board Oktoberfest-themed food and drink specials, live music, and unbeatable views of fall foliage as guests cruise up the Hudson River. The eight-hour round-trip excursion will run every weekend from Saturday, September 17 through Sunday, November 13, 2022, providing locals and tourists alike with a breathtaking scenic escape from the bustling city streets of New York.

Circle Line’s annual Bear Mountain Cruise offers an itinerary filled with fun seasonal activities – perfect for enjoying the crisp air and fresh start of a new season. Throughout the 50-mile journey, passengers will pass by dozens of Instagrammable sites like the 800-foot-tall Hook Mountain, Hudson River Palisades, the Cloisters, George Washington Bridge, Mario Cuomo Bridge, and more. To add to the day trip, live music performances from local bands, Street Beat Brass Band and Divining Rod will keep guests dancing all day long. There will also be Oktoberfest-esque menu items available like Schnitzel & Bratwurst Feast Plates, a Prop & Peller Uber Pretzel and a Quarter Pound Hot Dog with Sauerkraut, as well as a wide selection of hot & cold beverages, including specialty fall-favorite beer offerings like Samuel Adams Octoberfest and German favorites like Warsteiner Premium German Pilsner.

Once passengers arrive at Bear Mountain and disembark from Circle Line’s state-of-the-art boat, they will have a few hours to explore a wide range of attractions within the park including various trailside museums, a local zoo, and a carousel located in the picturesque Merry-Go-Round Pavilion– a favorite for kids of all ages. With ample time for exploring, guests will also discover the stunning natural landmarks of Bear Mountain draped in the red, yellow and orange hues of the newly turned fall leaves.

On sale now, tickets for the Bear Mountain Cruises start at $79 for standard seating, with cruises running once every Saturday and Sunday from September 17 to November 13, as well as on Columbus/Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Monday, October 10 and Veterans Day, November 11. Boarding begins at 8:30am with departures leaving from Pier 83 at West 42nd Street at 9:00am sharp. Depending on the tides and weather conditions, boats will return at approximately 5pm.
