Pleasantville, N.Y. (2/5/16) - The Art Gallery at Rockefeller State Park Preserve will host a special lecture by one of the artists featured in the gallery's climate-themed exhibit, "Climatic Visions." On Sunday, February 28 at 3:30 p.m., Melissa Fleming will present "The Art and Science of Climate Change." She will introduce the basic science of climate change and how artists from around the globe are reacting to its diverse impacts. The presentation will explore how art can enlighten the public and produce positive action solving these critical issues.

The "Climatic Visions" exhibition, which is currently on display at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, explores how the weather influences the creative sensitivity of artists in various environments and seasons in the natural world. In addition to Fleming, gallery artists include Jeffery Ben Berman, Cristina and Gianni Biaggi, Isabella Jacob and Doris Shepherd Wiese. The exhibition will be open through March 7.
