Owned and operated by the Hull family for over 200 years, Hull-O Farms provides guests with cozy accommodations, delicious farm-fresh meals and an enriching farm experience, where guests pitch in with everything from milking cows and feeding baby animals, to picking fresh produce. Rates start at $150 per person, per night.

Take a scenic drive through the Catskills and shop for farm-fresh goods along the way. Greene County boasts numerous farm stands and small shops offering unique gifts and local delicacies.

• East Durham Farms is Greene County's newest farm offering tours and farm-fresh goodies to take home from their location at 175 Brown Road in East Durham. Meet the farm's animals, explore the grounds and take home honey, organic seasonal produce, pasture raised meats and fresh baked goods.
• Black Horse Farms' Gourmet Farm Market is a family-owned and operated store in the historic river town of Athens, offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, bakery items and gifts.
• Story Farms offers fresh produce, flowers, maple syrup and honey at the junction of Route 32 and 23A in Catskill.
• Catskill Mountain Country Store & Restaurant in Windham and Tannersville offers a diverse selection of toys and gifts, as well as delicious cuisine and homemade baked goods.

The Catskill Mountain Foundation's Sugar Maples Campus in Hunter takes "haycations" one step further, offering three to five week Farm Fellowships for all ages from May through the end of September. Duties include preparing vegetable and flower beds, sowing seeds and harvesting crops, as well as farm maintenance and assisting with the farmstand. Free housing, access to fresh produce and art classes are provided as compensation. Farm visits are available as well for those who only want to tour.
