fl-musical-theatre-festival.JPGAuburn, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival is pleased to announce its Seat Naming Fundraising Campaign. Individuals and businesses in the community are encouraged to name a seat at the Schwartz Family Performing Arts Center in Auburn, N.Y., slated to open for the Festival's 2013 season. The Schwartz Family Performing Arts Center, located at 1 State Street in Auburn, N.Y., will be the home of a new 384-seat arts education and performance center. Construction is slated to begin this spring. The facility will be utilized by Cayuga Community College during the academic year as additional classroom and workshop space, and by the Festival during its summer season. Seats can be named for $1,000 per seat and include a plaque engraved with a dedication that will be permanently placed on a seat at the Schwartz Family Performing Arts Center. Naming a seat is an ideal way to recognize or honor a theater lover, proclaim your love for theater or memorialize a loved one. Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival memberships are also available for the 2012 Inaugural Season and include a number of great benefits. Festival memberships directly support the productions seen on stage and range from $50 to more than $25,000. As a special benefit and while supplies last, memberships at $1,500 and above will receive naming rights to one seat at the Schwartz Family Performing Arts Center for no charge. To name a seat at the Schwartz Family Performing Arts Center or become a Festival member contact the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival development office at 315-255-1305. Festival staff will be available to coordinate seat selection and personalization. Seat naming does not guarantee specific seating for performances, is based on availability and is offered while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.
