moriahstock.JPG Moriah On Lake Champlain, Adirondacks -The community of Moriah is pleased to present the first annual MoriahStock at the Port Henry Band Stand beginning at 1:00 p.m. on August 27. A home-grown event, MoriahStock will feature local bands Loose Connection, 5 Story Fuse and Generations in a casual, fun afternoon gathering for the entire family.  Attendees are encouraged to visit local eateries and/or bring a picnic lunch to enjoy along with the music. "This is a great showcase for some of our great local bands who have volunteered their great talent," said Tim Garrison, Town of Moriah Councilman and event organizer. "And it's the beginning of an annual tradition that both my friends and my kids will enjoy." The event is part of an ongoing revitalization effort organized by the Moriah Community and Economic Development (EDGe) group along with the PH7, and the Moriah Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Town of Moriah and the Village of Port Henry. The event is free and open to the public.  For area information contact the Lake Champlain Visitors Center at 518.597.4649 or visit
