Sunset Cruise beautyTiconderoga, N.Y. -- Fort Ticonderoga is today announcing that they will be offering a brand new Airbnb Experience for locals and visitors to the Lake Champlain region alike, inviting guests to come aboard a 1920s-style tour boat, Carillon, for a sunset cruise this Civic Season.

This new Experience will invite guests to enjoy a blend of history and natural beauty like nowhere else, taking in scenic vistas along Lake Champlain – as well as sights of shipwrecks and more that lies beneath Lake Champlain, thanks to onboard sonar while learning about Ticonderoga’s rich maritime history. An onboard historian will fire guests’ imaginations with stories of armed schooners to Prohibition-era rum runners, and a selection of beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks, and signature cocktails will be available. Guests will bring home some giveaways from American Heritage Chocolate, and the organization will keep 100 percent of the proceeds from their Experience.

This opportunity is part of the Civic Season, a new summer tradition between Juneteenth and July 4th to explore what we stand for. Fort Ticonderoga’s Experience will be one of many nationwide, to allow guests to learn more about their communities and country, and support the institutions that are the keepers of our stories while leveling up their own civic participation. Civic Season is supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, American Heritage Chocolate, and the Coca-Cola Foundation.

Those interested in booking this Experience can go to airbnb.com/civicseason to learn more.
