Hyde Park -- Tulipomania: Banking With Bulbs during the Golden Age of Dutch Culture, an illustrated talk given by Eric Haskell, author and professor at Scripps College in celebration of the Quadricentennial of Henry Hudson's journey up the Hudson will be held Sunday, April 26th at 2 p.m. at The Henry A. Wallace Center at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Home in Hyde Park. The cost is $50 ($45 for Beatrix Farrand Garden Association members) and includes wine & hors d'oeuvres. It's just one of two fascinating events taking place at the Wallace Center this spring. On Sunday, June 7 at 2 p.m., Judith Tankard, author and noted garden historian, presents Gardens of the Arts and Crafts Movement, an illustrated talk. The cost is $25 ($20 for BFGA members) and includes a tea party and cake. There's limited seating for both events and advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended.
