Gloversville, N.Y. - The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry's Art Gallery, located at 2 North Main Street, Gloversville, is hosting a "Celebration of 30 Years of Women's History Month," an exhibit featuring artwork, photographs, historical artifacts, quilts, and information centered around Women's history. The exhibit will run through April 25 in the Chamber's gallery and can be viewed during Chamber office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This exhibit is made possible by the sponsorship of St. Mary's Hospital at Amsterdam. This exhibit features the artwork of Chamber member Linda Hinkle of Linda K. Hinkle, Linda Hinkle Graphic Design; painter Leslie Dickerson, formerly of Johnstown; painter Marilyn Fairman of Johnstown; paintings by G. Dawson Jewell of Peck's Lake, Helen Hayes, formerly of Johnstown (1903-2002); photographs by Lauren Baird Brown, a Gloversville High School graduate; and historical and informational contributions from the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Hometown Association, the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Women's Consortium, and the American Association of University Women. There will be a reception for the artists and members of the women's groups on Tuesday, March 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Chamber's Art Gallery. Admission to the reception is free and open to the public. The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Art Gallery is free of admission and open to the public.
