owego-strawberry-festival.jpgOwego, N.Y. - The 30th Annual Strawberry Festival will be held Friday night, June 18 and Saturday, June 19, in the downtown streets of Owego, NY.  The famous award-winning "Hit Men" Brass Band from Rochester, NY will return for another year to put on a parade show that combines theater and music in a show-stopping routine.  The parade begins at 10 a.m. and is one of the best parades in the area.  The "Hit Men" band was founded in 2002 by World Drum Corps and Buglers Hall of Fame Member, David Martin.  The Hit Men consist of nine of the finest incarcerated, marching musicians in the history of the New York State Department of Corrections. The Hit men perform all over the U.S. and Canada.  The 9-member "Hit Men" Brass Band has been named Drum Corps of America brass ensemble champions four times. Made up of music professionals and seasoned drum corps veterans, the group is described as "good fellas" who come together from all parts of New York.  You won't want to miss their performance.
