Mumford, N.Y. – Get into the holiday spirit this weekend at GCV&M’s Holiday Market & Preparing for Winter event. This combination of two festive favorites includes a vendor market where visitors can shop hand-crafted, locally produced goods from 35+ Western NY artisans.
Visitors can also peruse unique gift items and village-made goods in the Flint Hill Store, including salt-glazed pottery, maple syrup, Museum apparel, historic toys, and more. In addition to the market, visitors can explore the 19th-century Historic Village where preparations will be underway for the cold months ahead. See candle-making, sewing of winter garments, smoking meats and sausage making, roasting chestnuts, blacksmithing, holiday crafting, historic food tastings, Haudenosaunee storytelling, and more. Food will be available from the Depot Restaurant and historic beers will be on tap in the Freight House Pub. The Chef’s Catering and Eat Greek food trucks will also be on-site.
This festive favorite is a great way to kick off the holiday season!
