belleayrelogo.jpgHighmount, N.Y. - Old Man Winter has arrived at the Belleayre Ski Center bringing over a foot of natural snow and enough cold weather to allow the snow makers to blanket the slopes day and night. There's skiing and riding from top to bottom and new terrain will be opening on a daily basis as conditions allow. The groomers are busy each night spreading out the snow and making for smooth going on the slopes. In short, the skiing and riding is excellent. Beginning Monday, Dec. 14th, Belleayre will present the Twelve Days of Christmas offering special deals ranging from free lift tickets, discounts on tickets, free apparel and food. This Monday all men get to ski and ride for $25. Dec. 15th  and 22nd is "Two for Tuesday" where the first 10 people who purchase lunch in the cafeterias get a second meal of equal or lesser value for free. Dec. 16th is "Women's Wednesday" where all women ski for $25. Dec. 17th , the first 25 people who find the snow ball on line can purchase a four-pack for only $75. Once you find the snowball call 845-254-6116 to place your order for your 4 pack. Offer limited to first 25 people to call. Check the website and see if you can find it. On Dec. 18th, the first five people who spot Belleayre Superintendent Tony Lanza on the slopes will receive a free Belleayre hat courtesy of Blue Sky Sports. You can get a free cup of coffee on Dec. 19th with the purchase of a Belgian waffle in one of the cafeterias. Kids under 12 pay only $10 on Dec. 20th. Belleayre will be celebrating its 60th anniversary on Dec. 21st so anyone born in 1949 gets to ski or ride for only $15. On Dec. 23rd, the first 25 lunch customers will receive the employee discount which gives you 40 percent off your purchase. All kids 12 and under get to ski for free on Dec. 24th. Christmas Day is also Senior Day with anyone age 62 and over receiving a free lift ticket. The Kids Camp and Snow Explorers begin this Friday, Dec. 18th. Belleayre also has a busy weekend planned this Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the U. S. Marines will be at the mountain for the annual Toys for Tots campaign. The first 200 people who donate $10 or a new, unwrapped toy with a value of $10 or more will receive a coupon for a $25 lift ticket. Santa will also be on the mountain for holiday photos at the Discovery Lodge between noon and 1 p.m. He will then take a spin on the slopes with The Beast of Belleayre and anyone can come along. Belleayre will also host a Winter Festival Village located in the Discovery Lodge on Saturday.  Pick up some last minute holiday goods from our eclectic mix of vendors.  Stay local.  Shop local.  Celebrate local. Sunday, December 20th is the Hanukkah Lighting Ceremony in the Garden Room of the Overlook Lodge to celebrate the Festival of Lights. The ceremony begins at 12 noon, with refreshments served.
