Theo_TOO_Left ProfileClayton, New York (June 20, 2022) – The Village of Clayton, along with the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, and in conjunction with The Ship Watcher/Seaway Ship Watchers Network, invites the public to participate in Theodore TOO’s Grand Arrival into Clayton on Monday, June 27. Theodore TOO is tentatively scheduled to dock at the Regional Dock at Frink Park on Monday, June 27 around 4 p.m. Arrival time is subject to change based on varying factors.

To give Theodore a grand welcome, organizers ask for public participation in a flotilla from Rock Island Lighthouse to the Regional Dock. The flotilla will be led by Clayton Fire Department’s iconic fireboat, Last Chance, as well as some of the in-water fleet of the Antique Boat Museum.

Boaters should gather between the Thousand Islands Bridge and Rock Island around 3 p.m. to await Theodore TOO. Once the tug reaches the flotilla, the parade of boats will then travel to Clayton.

To monitor Theodore TOO’s progress along the river, spectators and boaters are encouraged to utilize the Marine Traffic website or app to locate the tug. Updates will also be posted on the St. Lawrence Seaway Ship Watchers Facebook page and on Twitter (@theshipwatcher).

Theodore TOO is a fully operational 65-foot tugboat reproduction of the original television character Theodore Tugboat from the beloved CBC series "Theodore Tugboat.” The one-of-a-kind tugboat with a big personality is set to visit Clayton beginning the evening of June 27 through the early morning of July 2 at the Thousand Islands Regional Dock at Frink Park, located along Riverside Drive. Visitors are encouraged to come for photograph opportunities and a chance to interact with Theodore’s crew.

Clayton is expected to be the tug’s lone US port visit in 2022 and is being made in celebration of Clayton’s 150th anniversary.
