LOVE Week 2021LOVE WEEK at the Botanical Gardens Encourages Everyone to Share Some Love with a Special Valentine, Frontline Worker, Friend or Family Member! 

Buffalo, NY - Looking for something different to surprise your Valentine, a loved one, a front-line worker or a friend? Head to the Botanical Gardens for Love Week from February 8 through 14. They have several ideas to treat a special person in your life and a few ways to just share some love. Go on a tropical adventure during the day or after dark, jump on an exclusive experience to feed their fish, participate in a virtual workshop or even renew your vows or get married. 

During the Day 

Explore the Botanical Gardens during the day from 10:00am through 4:00pm. Take a self-guided tour of their tropical oasis and grab an entertaining scavenger hunt for a fun and competitive (only if you want it to be) adventure throughout the Botanical Gardens. Admission tickets are $12.50 for adults, $11.00 for seniors 62 and older, $11.00 for students 13 and older with ID, $7.00 for kids ages 3 to 12, kids 2 and under and Botanical Gardens members are free. 

A special BOGO Day is also planned for February 11 from 10:00am through 4:00pm and is sponsored by National Grid. Buy one admission ticket and get one of equal or lesser value for free. Admission tickets are $12.50 for adults, $11.00 for seniors 62 and older, $11.00 for students 13 and older with ID, $7.00 for kids ages 3 to 12, kids 2 and under and Botanical Gardens members are free. Feed the Fish is a Gardens Exclusive experience held during Love Week on February 13 and 14 from 9:30am to 10:00am. Get up close and personal with their family of koi fish with this new and unique experience. Participants will enjoy early access to the Botanical Gardens before they open to the public. Each participant will receive a potted plant, a cup of koi fish food, an exclusive button and time to help feed their fishy friends. Regular admission for the day is included. This special encounter is limited to 10 people per experience. Tickets are the same price for the general public and for Botanical Gardens’ members: $18.50 for ages 12 and up, $14.50 for kids ages 3-12 and kids two and under are free but must have a ticket. 

If you are really ambitious, the Botanical Gardens offers its popular Pop-Up Weddings on Sunday, February 14. This $1,500 wedding/vow renewal package includes a 90-minute reservation at the Botanical Gardens, an officiant, photography package by Alana Adetola Arts Photography, and an elegant cake from Sassi Cakes.  

After Dark 

Gardens After Dark: Enchanted Winter Escape is a new experience created to open the Botanical Gardens in the evening for all to enjoy. This second exhibit of the Gardens After Dark series will be held during Love Week, Thursdays through Sundays and the Winter Break week from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. Visitors will enjoy this Enchanted Winter Escape as light bounces onto the exotic plant collection, rocks glow in the desert house and twinkling terrariums hang over head. This one-of-a-kind experience is a perfect respite from the chaos and climate that will transport you into a tropical paradise. Bring a special Valentine, friend, co-worker, date, or family members. Admission tickets for the general public are $13.50 for adults, $12.00 for seniors 62 and older, $12.00 for students 13 and older with ID, $7.00 for kids ages 3 to 12, kids 2 and under are free. Admission tickets for Botanical Gardens’ members are $11.50 for adults, $10.00 for seniors 62 and older, $10.00 for students 13 and older with ID, $7.00 for kids ages 3 to 12, kids 2 and under are free.

An Online Terrarium Workshop will be held on February 11 from 6:30pm through 7:30pm. Do something totally different and join a virtual workshop. Bring a bit of the Botanical Gardens home and discover how low maintenance closed tropical terrariums are while creating a truly special piece. Containers, soil, plants and supplies are all included. Grab some take-out, a bottle of wine and enjoy this fun and hands-on workshop. Fast, easy and safe pickup for materials will occur from 4:30pm to 5:30pm the day of class.
