Fortunately, Orange County Tourism has assembled a colorful bouquet of special Hudson Valley happenings so you can pick just the right ones to suit your mom. If mom can't make them all, she'd want you to go anyway. Mothers are like that!  Click on the events tab and start planning. Two great attractions are offering free admission to moms visiting with their children on Mother's Day. Does she like adventure? Kittatinny Canoes will treat her to a free paddle on the scenic Delaware River with a choice of canoe or river raft. If she's drawn more to history and culture, Gomez Mill House, the oldest Jewish dwelling in North America, has quite a story to tell. She'll relish her free tour of this quaint manor house, home to merchants, patriots, farmers, craftsmen and statesmen.  A day outside the kitchen is always a treat! Surprise mom with a Mother's Day Brunch Cruise aboard the Pride of the Hudson. She'll love the Hudson River views from the air-conditioned glass-enclosed salon or from the spacious sundeck. Landlubber moms will appreciate the Mother's Day Brunch in the beautifully restored 18th century stone barn at Mansion Ridge Golf Club with its lush green landscape.  If your mom's a golfer, she'll surely want to return another day to play these links. (Great gift idea!). If it's also true that mama's happy when everybody's happy, bring the whole gang to the Mother's Day Breakfast and Bowl from 10am to noon at Colonial Lanes in Chester. It's fun for all with cosmic bowling accompanied by a gourmet breakfast and a complimentary Bloody Mary or Mimosa for the adults. There's also a great line up of family-friendly activities at the 5th Annual Earth & Water Festival at Thomas Bull Memorial Park on Saturday, May 19th. This environmentally-themed free event features top-notch musicians and entertainment including the "Arm-of-the-Sea Theater" and the "Snakeman's Snake Show." There'll be plenty to keep the young ones occupied so mom can enjoy the artisan crafts and green expo. Another family favorite, the Zerbini Family Circus will be performing at Museum Village in Monroe on May 25th, 26th and 27th. The high-flying acts under the tent will have everyone's spirits soaring. If the mom you're trying to please is a laid-back rock and roll type, the 2012 Mighty High Mountain Fest at Tuxedo Ridge may be just the ticket.  Happening May 18th through 20th, this 3-day music event is offering two nights of on-site camping, but there are lots of great Bed & Breakfasts nearby too. Any motorcycle mamas out there?  Rev up their day with a visit to the Motorcyclepedia Spring Festival in Newburgh on May 19th.
