Celtic Faire_GCVMMusic, Dance, Authentic Food And Drink, Vendors, and More at Genesee Country Village & Museum’s Celtic Faire

Mumford, N.Y. –

WHAT:           Visitors will explore the traditions of the Scots, Irish, Welsh, and other Celtic Nations at Genesee Country Village & Museum’s annual Celtic Faire on Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13. The grounds will be alive with the sounds of the Highlands, stomping of traditional Irish dances, aroma of fresh-baked Celtic-inspired foods, and bustle of a vendor fair. Snack on a Scotch egg, sample locally-made craft beer in the Freight House Pub, watch sheep herding demonstrations, participate in traditional weapons workshops (tickets sold separately), see hurling and other feats of strength in action, and more. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit with clan representatives to explore lineage, genealogy, tartan history, and other topics. In addition to the special event festivities, guests can explore the Museum grounds, including the Historic Village, Nature Center, and John L. Wehle Gallery, currently displaying: Consuming Desires: The Great American Wedding, Nature’s Chain: The Land and Our Place in It, and the Fan Favorites exhibitions.

WHEN:           Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

WHERE:        Genesee Country Village & Museum, 1410 Flint Hill Road, Mumford, NY 14511

HOW:             Tickets can be purchased at the door or pre-ordered at gcv.org/events/celtic-faire. Celtic Faire admission: adults: $23, seniors (62+): $20, students (13 - 18): $20, youth (3 - 12): $17, children (2 and under): free. Pre-registration is not required, but tickets are limited and will be available online and day-of at the door until the event is sold out.

In accordance with the New York State Department of Health guidelines on mask-wearing and COVID safety regulations, Genesee Country Village & Museum asks that all guests continue to wear masks when entering through the admissions tunnel, when inside any building, and when they cannot maintain 6 feet of social distancing on the property.
