Home to some of New York State's most popular destinations including West Point and Woodbury Common, the area is expanding with new sites that give visitors even more reasons to stay with us. Motorcyclepedia, an 85,000 square-foot museum featuring over 300 motorcycles dating back to 1897, is one of the newest destinations Orange County is adding to its collection. Just opened, the Antique Motorcycle Foundation's vintage line-up is housed there along with the personal collection of the museum's founders, Jerry and Ted Doering, plus bikes on loan from other collectors. Current exhibits include the Indian Motorcycle Timeline, and Fast from the Past. Storm King Art Center, the renowned 500-acre outdoor sculpture park in Mountainville, now offers on-site bicycle rentals and an expanded café serving seasonal locally-sourced food. If being on the water sounds like more fun, two new kayak outfitters will take you on escorted kayak trips through gorgeous waterways. Paddle your way to Bannerman Island Castle or explore quiet marshes to observe bald eagles flying high above the Highlands.
