The event features engaging crafts, photo opps and special cocktails to celebrate mom
New York, N.Y. (April 12, 2022) – Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) New York City is set to celebrate mom with the sweetest party in town! Make a date with her on Saturday, May 7 or Sunday, May 8 as MOIC transforms 13 multi-sensory installations into a celebration of moms, near and far. For this two day event, MOIC NYC will serve up three immersive floors of crafts, games and special cocktails only available during Mother’s Day weekend.
Guests are invited to decorate the sidewalk with positive messages for their favorite mom figures all day long. For moms far away, MOIC will have signs (“Miss you so much!” and “Next time, ice cream is on me!”) for interactive moments and photo ops to send to mom. The Magnet Room will feature special prompts (“What makes your mom so cool?”) and MOIC will stage a backdrop with MOIC Guides ready to capture and print the photo to take home. Visitors will play a game of “Mom-libs” (My mom’s super power is _______.) to inspire deeper connections and help guests get to know mom a bit better. To end the adventure, attendees will work together to craft ice cream cone bouquets before the Grand Finale in our famous Sprinkle Pool!
The MOIC Cafe will also feature limited time cocktails like a “MOMosa” ($16 retail, $14 add-on), a sparkling rose cocktail topped with a glitter cotton candy surprise – and the “Mother of All Milkshakes” ($12 retail, $10 add-on), a banana split milkshake made with sweet vanilla ice cream, decadent chocolate fudge, banana room yellow whipped cream, sweet pink chocolate drip, dressed up with edible wafer flowers and finished with a bright pink cherry.
