Clayton, N.Y. (June 12, 2023) – The Antique Boat Museum (ABM), North America’s premier freshwater boating museum based in Clayton, NY, invites you to join them for the annual 1000 Islands Concours d’Elegance on June 24th! This year’s show celebrates the Golden Age of Sports Cars and 70 years of Corvette alongside cars of all makes and models. Cars & Coffee returns for the second year in a row and is open to all car enthusiasts to show off their cars and admire others.
As part of the celebration of 70 years of Corvette, ABM is thrilled to have 2013 Corvette Hall of Fame inductee Werner Meier join Concours Judge Roberto Donati for a panel discussion at this year’s Concours.
The owner and founder of Masterworks Automotive Services, Werner Meier is regarded as one of the best in the world at restoration. His work has included over 100 Corvettes including cars built for Harley Earl, Bill Mitchell, and others. Concours Judge Roberto Donati is the owner of Scuderia Donati and co-owner of Volante Classics. He learned the meticulous detail and precision craftmanship at his father’s side in Modena, Italy.
New this year, Youth Judging debuts at the 1000 Islands Concours d’Elegance! Developed and sponsored by Hagerty, the Youth Judging Program brings the world of classics to youth primarily aged 8-14. Youth Judges will be guided through the show’s field as a group to pre-selected cars. At each car the judges will interact with the owners to learn details, history, and fun facts before scoring the car and selecting a first, second, and third place winner.
