Buffalo, N.Y. - This Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, romance will be in the air at the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens for "Hearts in the Gardens," a new event to benefit the National Garden Festival.
From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, desserts, beer and wine; bid on silent auction items; and explore "NIGHT LIGHTS in the Gardens," a gorgeous light show that will encompass the entire glass-domed Botanical Gardens.
During the course of the evening, National Garden Festival officials will announce the location of the 2012 Front Yard Competition, in which local professional landscapers will donate their time and materials to completely transform each front yard on a Buffalo block.
Tickets to Hearts in the Gardens are $50 per person or $75 for a couple, available at www.nationalgardenfestival.com.
The 3rd annual National Garden Festival will take place from June 22 to July 29. This five-week-long garden party features 14 garden walks (including America's largest - Garden Walk Buffalo), bus tours, open gardens, workshops, speakers and the Front Yard Competition.
