I LOVE NY LGBTQ Participating in Pride Events Throughout State
I LOVE NY, New York State's Division of Tourism, today announced the launch of a new seasonal tourism campaign, highlighting the start of the 2022 summer travel season. Elements include two new ads, a reimagined I LOVE NY Experience mobile tour, and LGBTQ Pride activities at events throughout the state. The new campaign complements the state's efforts to revitalize and rebuild the state's post-pandemic tourism industry, while extending an invitation to residents and visitors to discover the places and attractions that are uniquely New York.
I LOVE NY Executive Director of Tourism Ross D. Levi said, "Travelers this summer are eager to explore, enjoy and get out once again, and New York State has some of the best vacation experiences on the planet. From the famed beaches of Long Island to the high peaks of the Adirondacks to thundering Niagara Falls and everywhere in between, the New York State getaway of a lifetime awaits travelers – all they have to do is come be a part of it."
The new campaign includes two new 30-second spots featuring an assortment of iconic attractions and reminds visitors that no matter what type of vacation they're seeking – from a relaxing beach getaway, to hiking or ziplining in the mountains, to family-friendly activities that create lifelong memories – some of the best experiences in New York State also happen to be some of the best experiences in the world. The new ads can be viewed here and here.
Additionally, the 2022 I LOVE NY Experience mobile tour will launch on Saturday, June 11 at the 116th Street Festival in Manhattan. The mobile tour is designed to showcase various travel destinations within each of the State’s vacation regions and will make multiple stops in and around New York State throughout the summer. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore New York State in augmented reality, transport themselves to attractions through a customized 360º GIF, and learn more about some of the state's most popular attractions.
After a two-year pandemic hiatus, I LOVE NY, through its I LOVE NY LGBTQ initiative, will be participating in Pride events in communities across New York this summer. This includes stops in Albany, Buffalo, Fire Island, Harlem, New York City and Rochester to engage with attendees and introduce them to exciting attractions and destinations throughout the state.
Additionally, a newly-updated I LOVE NY LGBTQ microsite and printed I LOVE NY LGBTQ travel guide are available to help visitors identify great things to see and do, both during Pride month and throughout the year. I LOVE NY is also launching an I LOVE NY 2022 Pride guide blog, to support community partners and promote tourism by highlighting Pride celebrations, and other LGBTQ events and attractions across the state.
