Pittsford, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Regional Tourism Council (FLRTC) is pleased to reveal their recently refreshed website, FingerLakesTravelNY.com. The vacation region wanted a more robust experience for visitors and found the solution in a website system built on the Simpleview platform. The new website features rich photography, a blog sharing an insider's view to seasonal interests, an event calendar highlighting fun and festive experiences and a comprehensive listing feature. Listings on the Region's official website are ported directly from New York State's official website, ILoveNY.com,a unique ability available through Simpleview's technology and the relationship between I Love NY and the Finger Lakes Region.

Simpleview is the travel and tourism industry's leader in online and interactive web solutions providing digital products and services to more than 530 destination marketing organizations around the world.

This one-of-a-kind collaboration updates the regional website regularly, guaranteeing that users see the most timely and accurate information possible.

The official tourism promotion agency for the Finger Lakes Region reimagined the site to assist users planning a trip to the Finger Lakes. Through the website, interested travelers can learn facts about the region's 11 Finger Lakes and 14 counties, browse an all-encompassing list of attractions, accommodations and dining options across the 14-county region and view available packaged deals or seasonal specials. To receive more information about the Finger Lakes Region, visitors can also request a brochure through a form on the website.

"A great deal of time and creativity went into crafting this refreshed website. The direct relationship between our efforts and that of I Love New York brings cohesive information to the traveler," said Lisa Burns, Executive Director of FLRTC. "We expect the updated website to be a truly reliable resource, helping visitors plan a trip and guiding them through their time in the region. We hope it inspires and encourages visitation to our part of the state."

The Finger Lakes Regional Tourism Council's website was funded in large part by a grant awarded to the FLRTC by New York State's Empire State Development and the I Love NY Division of Tourism, under Governor Andrew Cuomo's Regional Economic Development Council Initiative.

The Finger Lakes Regional Tourism Council

The breathtaking Finger Lakes takes its name from eleven lakes spanning the region like a giant handprint, stretching from its easternmost point in Onondaga County to its westernmost border in Livingston County, near Letchworth State Park. Boasting a mix of nature trails and natural beauty, wineries and breweries scattered across the region, and quaint villages close to large metropolitan areas, the Finger Lakes Vacation Region has a plethora of tourist attractions within its borders.

In January 2014, the 14 Official County Tourism Promotion Agencies of the Finger Lakes Vacation Region formed a 501(c)(3) organization known as the Finger Lakes Regional Tourism Council (FLRTC). The FLRTC Board includes representation from all 14 TPAs and counties: Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Livingston, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne and Yates.
