One World ObservatoryObservatory to Feature Seasonal Photo ops, Specialty Ciders and Dining Event

New York, N.Y. – For many in the New York area, autumn would not be complete without a trip Upstate to visit an apple orchard or pumpkin farm.  This coming weekend, One World Observatory and Angry Orchard will be bringing the quintessential Upstate New York experience downtown, for a unique, seasonal staging that will include an orchard-themed hanging chair photo opportunity and specialty ciders at the observation deck 1,250 feet above ground.

Beginning on October 8, the Observatory, in partnership with Angry Orchard, will host an “Orchard in the Sky” including:

  • An Angry Orchard hanging chair that will provide a unique seasonal photo op atop One World Trade Center, as well as accompanying visuals that highlight the Walden orchard;
  • A specialty cider flight that includes Margil, FLX Cherry and Albany Post, which are normally only available to visitors of Angry Orchard’s Walden location. Crisp and FLX Cherry will also be available for a limited time at the Observatory’s bar on floor 100, ONE Sip;
  • A ticketed dinner offered on Tuesday, October 11 at 7PM that will pair complementary ciders with seasonally inspired menu items including squash bisque, crème fraiche, roasted strawberry and citrus aguachile with fluke, as well as roasted cod, braised leeks and new potatoes in a Beurre blanc sauce and vanilla bean ice cream with pommeau.

The collaboration will run from October 8 to November 4, and the offerings will be available to all visitors who purchase tickets to the observatory.
