“The Ontario County Fair Board is proud to celebrate our 175th anniversary,” said Casey Kunes, Ontario County Fair president. “I believe it is a testament to the perseverance of all the members involved throughout our past. The main objective of the fair in its early years is still a large part of what we do now —to provide a venue where people can exhibit agricultural products of all types and to educate the public and foster the development of our youth. After all, our motto is ‘cultivating the next generation’.”
Featured events such as 4-H youth activities and events, youth livestock and animal shows, vendors and Exhibitors Hall, live music and food vendors and Midway rides by Playland Amusements will also occur daily.
Other free featured attractions include America’s Show Camels, Party Animals Petting Zoo, The Magic Trunk with ventriloquist Sylvia Fletcher, model train displays, chainsaw carver Jennifer Black and Ontario County sheriff demonstrations.
Fairgoers can learn about Ontario County agriculture by visiting the animal exhibits, rooster crowing contests, dairy shows and livestock challenges.
