Oswego, N.Y. - The H. Lee White Marine Museum is swabbing the decks for a hearty afternoon of pirate carousing. Brush off your eye patch, grab your parrot and sign up for a Kids' Pirate Party on either Thursday, July 21 (10 am - 12 pm) or Tuesday, July 26 (1 - 3 pm). Fun will abound in Oswego's "Historic Maritime District" at the foot of West First Street. Young lads and lasses can consort with fellow pirates; land lubbers can throw in with the lot and become pirates for a day. Pirate garb is strongly encouraged. Games, activities, music, grub, a scavenger hunt and treasure to plunder for home are on the list of pirating fun for the day. Pre-reservation and prepayment are required. The cost is only $10 per child (ask about member discounts). Contact the Museum at 315-342-0480 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to RSVP. Also check the website (www.hleewhitemarinemuseum.com) and Facebook page for details on this and all the other great programming scheduled for 2011!
