Public Invited to Free Presentation on the General Electric Realty Plot

Colonie, N.Y. – The Historical Society of the Town of Colonie cordially invites the public to join them for a free special presentation on the General Electric Realty Plot.  This talk will be held at the William K. Sanford (Colonie) Town Library, 629 Albany Shaker Road, on Sunday, March 15^th at 2:00 pm.

This presentation on the 1899 purchase of 70 acres of undeveloped land by General Electric, will feature fascinating information on the architects, the lots, the owners and many firsts – the first demonstration of radar and the first time television was broadcast into a private home!

The presenter, Chris Leonard, is the city historian for Schenectady as well as the first historian of the GE Plot Association.
