Colonie Historical SocietyColonie, N.Y. – The Historical Society of the Town of Colonie cordially invites the public to join them for a free special presentation on the General Electric Realty Plot.  This talk will be held at the William K. Sanford (Colonie) Town Library, 629 Albany Shaker Road, on Sunday, March 15th at 2:00 pm.

This presentation on the 1899 purchase of 70 acres of undeveloped land by General Electric, will feature fascinating information on the architects, the lots, the owners and many firsts – the first demonstration of radar and the first time television was broadcast into a private home!

The presenter, Chris Leonard, is the city historian for Schenectady as well as the first historian of the GE Plot Association.
