One World Observatory“ONEDERLAND” Brings a Celebratory Experience 1,250 Feet Above New York City, with Skyline Photo Moments, Family Friendly Activities, and Seasonal Food and Beverage Offerings

New York, N.Y. (November 28, 2022) – One World Observatory – the acclaimed observation experience atop One World Trade Center – today announced the long-awaited return of its holiday activation, “ONEDERLAND.” The cheer-filled, mountaintop inspired experience will run until January 8.

After a three-year hiatus due in part to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Observatory will once again be decked out in holiday splendor, 1,250 feet above New York City. Visitors will experience the magic of the holidays through a series of festive activations, including a cozy chalet lounge, gingerbread café with curated dining offerings, and photo opportunities in a fabricated ski lift poised high above the city skyline.

“ONEDERLAND is a must-see activation that allows visitors to take in the magic of the holiday season in New York City, with the Observatory’s signature skyline views as the backdrop,” said Delfin Ortiz, Managing Director, One World Observatory. “We are excited to be contributing to the holiday festivities across the city and are looking forward to seeing the delighted faces of our visitors.”

“ONEDERLAND” at One World Observatory features:

·       ONEDERLAND Square (100th floor of the Observatory), including:

o   Two spectacular photo moments for guests to capture holiday memories:

§  Ski Lift – Stationary chair lift flanked by scenic trees and festive signage;

§  ONEDERLAND Sleigh – Holiday-themed sleigh adorned with fabricated skyscrapers against the actual NYC skyline

o   Chalet Lounge – Guests can relax at a cozy lounge area that brings to life a chalet-feel featuring Adirondack chairs, gingerbread trees and a faux fire pit while enjoying the Observatory’s stunning views framed by the creation of a signature A-frame architectural element;

o   Chalet Bar Lounge – A second cozy lounge for guests to enjoy with the Observatory’s two satellite bars positioned nearby for seasonal cocktails and snacks;

o   ONEDERLAND Market – A shopping experience in the spirit of European holiday markets featuring an array of gift ideas.

·       ONEDERLAND Bar & Restaurant (101st floor of the Observatory), including:

o   Gingerbread-inspired theming – Guests will enjoy seasonal décor across the Café, bar and restaurant

o   Seasonal café treats – Gingerbread and snowman holiday cupcakes, festive cookies featuring a snowflake design, linzer tarts and more will be available.

o   Seasonal cocktails – Featuring a ONEDERLAND holiday espresso martini, white chocolate eggnog, a frosted toddy, and fan favorite from seasons past: the Holidays on Fifth Avenue with cinnamon whiskey, Baileys, vanilla and amaretto cocktail.

The temperature-controlled public Observatory is open daily and offers a friendly and fun experience for visitors of all ages to take in 360-degree views of the city. The Observatory is located at One World Trade Center, 117 West Street, New York, New York 10007. The entrance to the Observatory is located on the West Plaza located alongside West Street at the Northwest corner of the World Trade Center site near the intersection of West and Vesey Streets.
