Southampton, N.Y. – The Southampton Fire Department’s Antique Truck Committee is dusting off their finest historic fire trucks to be shown on the grounds of the Rogers Mansion on Saturday, September 4, 11 am to 4 pm. The City Service Ladder Truck made in 1912 will be a featured attraction. Historic fire-fighting equipment will be on display and include many of Southampton's historic fire trucks. Volunteer firemen and women will answer questions and give demonstrations. Admission is free.
The Rogers Mansion Museum Complex will also be open to the public. While you’re here visit the 12 historic buildings on the property which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Carriage House (Thrift) Shop will also be open for shopping with a selection of gently used clothing, jewelry and furnishings.
All are welcome to see this once-in-a-lifetime, outdoor display of Southampton’s legendary fire-fighting equipment and meet some of our community's brave firefighters.
