Warren County, N.Y. - Anderson Coach, a Tour Operator based in Greenville, Pennsylvania, recently brought six motor coaches and over 300 passengers to the Lake George Area to enjoy local attractions and celebrate 74 years in business with its annual "Birthday Bash". The Birthday Bash has become one of the most popular annual tours for Anderson Coach clients, and previous Birthday Bash locations have included a 4 day excursion to Pigeon Forge, TN. Coaches began to arrive in the area the morning of September 13th. During the 3 day event participants enjoyed activities such as a luncheon cruise on Lake George Steamboat Company's Lac Du Saint Sacrament, Polynesian-themed Dinner Theatre at The Tiki Resort, a dinner at the Fort William Henry Resort and sightseeing along Prospect Mountain Memorial Highway. Other Regional attractions included a cruise aboard Raquette Lake Navigation's W.W. Durant and a visit to the Adirondack Museum. Final day festivities included a Birthday Dinner and Entertainment by Laura Roth at The Georgian Lakeside Resort. Lake George being selected as this year's Birthday Bash location was due in part to Warren County Tourism Department's participation in Group Travel Tradeshows such as National Tour Association, which was held in Montreal, QB in 2010. It is here that Tanya Brand, Group Tour Promoter for the Tourism Dept., met a representative of Anderson Coach and facilitated the initial conversation about the area being a potential candidate for the tour. After that conversation, a Familiarization Tour was organized for the Operator in order to visit the area, get acquainted with its attractions, lodging and dining, and determine whether or not they were a good fit for the event. Tanya Brand attended the final evening event at the Georgian Lakeside Resort and reported that Anderson Coach's representatives were delighted not only with the support they received from the Tourism Department but also with the overall experience the area provided to their clients. "People seem to be very happy with the event and they love the area." said Doug Anderson. According to Tanya, plans to bring future tours to the area are already in progress as a result of this recent event. "Your region is truly beautiful and filled with good, quality suppliers. We feel future tours to your area will be spectacular." commented Sue Anderson of Anderson Coach.
