Lake Ontario Wine Trail logoWayne County, N.Y. – The Lake Ontario Wine Trail will host their annual “Christmas Around the World” event on Saturday and Sunday, December 2nd and 3rd. Travel the world this holiday season via the wine trail for a weekend of Christmas cheer, great food, and local award-winning wines, ciders and spirits. Each participating member location will represent a different country and pair their beverages with unique holiday dishes. This year, we welcome our newest Trail member, Old Goat Cidery at the Apple Shed.

“Christmas Around the World is the last event of 2017 for the Lake Ontario Wine Trail, and it’s an event we look forward to each year,” said Collin McConville, Trail President and Head Distiller at Apple Country Spirits. “Guests enjoy special culinary treats from eight locations representing different countries, paired with that member’s craft beverages. Your gastronomic trip around the world includes Apple Country Spirits – United Kingdom, Casa Lara Vineyard – Italy, Colloca Estate Winery – France, Embark Craft Ciderworks – Norway, JD Wine Cellars – Sweden, Old Goat Cidery – China, Young Sommer Winery – Poland, and Pop’s House of Country Collectibles – Germany.”

This event is held on both Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00am to 6:00pm. It is a self-guided tour, allowing guests to travel the Trail at their own pace. Tickets for this event are $20 per person, and can be purchased online or at your first stop during the event. Reservations for groups of 8 or more are appreciated.
