Presenting ‘Dinner & A Movie: Waking Ned Devine’ on March 17, 2021
Glens Falls, N.Y. – The Park Theater is thrilled to open its doors to audiences once again! The theater will be hosting its first in-person event since December 2020. Join The Park Theater on March 17th, 2021 for a screening of Waking Ned Devine (1998), a charming Irish film starring Ian Bannen, David Kelly and Fionnula Flanagan.
Waking Ned Devine (1998) is a critically acclaimed feel good comedy that tells the story of two best friends, Jackie O'Shea (Ian Bannen) and Michael O'Sullivan (David Kelly), and their quest to uncover the winner of the National lottery in their small Irish village. When they discover that the winner, Ned Devine, has dropped dead from shock, they set out to claim the prize as their own. Upon realizing that they are in over their heads, they enlist members of the community to band together, in an effort to convince the claims inspector that O’Sullivan is really Ned Devine, so they may split the cash amongst themselves. A clever and light-hearted story, Waking Ned Devine gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “Luck of the Irish!”
Special 3-Course Prix Fixe Menu
There will be a special 3-Course Prix Fixe menu presented by executive chef, Matthew J. Delos featuring a creative selection of flavorful, hearty dishes, to compliment the St. Patrick’s Day theme. The first course will feature a choice of Corned Beef and Cabbage Soup or Butternut Squash Bisque. The second course will feature a choice of Beef in Stout, Skillet Braised Stuffed Curly Cabbage or Battered Sole. All meals will be served with Irish Apple Spice Cake for dessert. In addition, a selection of themed cocktails and an Irish whiskey tasting flight will be available for purchase.

The doors open at 5pm and dinner service will begin at 5:30pm. The film will begin at 6:30pm.
The Park Theater is proud to offer a state-of-the-art fresh air ventilation system with MERV 13 filters for their indoor space, and is closely following all NYS and CDC guidance to maintain your utmost safety. There will be limited seating and tickets must be purchased in advance. Make your reservations early!
