Gloversville, N.Y.-The Third Annual Walleye Ice Fishing Challenge will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM on the Great Sacandaga Lake in Fulton County, NY. The tournament has registered 1500 fishing enthusiasts from 11 states including Connecticut; Washington, DC; Georgia; Indiana; Massachusetts; Maryland; North Carolina; New Hampshire; Ohio; Pennsylvania and New York. Fish weigh ins for the contest will take place throughout the day at Lanzi's on the Lake, 1751 State Highway 30, Mayfield (NY) and at the Broadalbin Boat Launch, located on Lakeview Road in the Town of Broadalbin (NY). The tournament will award $1,000 in prizes per hour plus $9,000 in miscellaneous prizes and door prizes awarded throughout the day. Each registrant also is entered in a drawing for three recreational vehicles - two 4-wheelers and a snowmobile. Broadalbin Boat Launch is located in the town of Broadalbin, directly off County Route 110, 3 miles northeast of the Village of Broadalbin. There is parking there for 70 cars and trailers.
