Rochester, N.Y. - Celebrate the art of building during Tinker with Toys School-Break Week at the National Museum of Play at The Strong®, Saturday, April 16 through Sunday, April 24. The week-long build fest is held in conjunction with the TINKERTOY®: Build Your ImaginationTM exhibit. Let your imagination run wild at more than half a dozen play zones filled with building materials, including TINKERTOYS, No Ends, DUPLOS, BuilderBLOX, ZOOBS, Dado Cubes, and more. Enjoy additional opportunities to invent and build in the new TINKERTOY: Build Your Imagination exhibit. Giant replicas of the classic wooden construction set form a colorful backdrop for nine unique activity stations that explore contemporary topics such as renewable energy and clean water technology. The exhibit remains on view at the National Museum of Play through May 29. The week of family activities kicks off with a performance of The Dancing Spider in the museum theater on Saturday, April 16 at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Inspired by West African folktales and presented by the Interdisciplinary Arts for Children Program at the College of Brockport, The Dancing Spider tells the story of the trickster Ananse who spends his days dreaming up ways to get others to do his work, and winds up in some hilarious predicaments.
