Matt, Meredith, Al, Ann, Kathie Lee, Hoda, Natalie and Amy Hit the Road for an All-American Excursion New York, NY - It will be anchors away, literally, for NBC's "Today" as Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker, Ann Curry, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Natalie Morales and Amy Robach pack their bags and head to some of America's most amazing vacation destinations, including Lake George in the Adirondacks. "Today Takes a Vacation," kicks off Monday, July 27 from one of the most breathtaking locations in the northeast. Meredith Vieira and Ann Curry will and broadcast live from the Sagamore Resort in Lake George. Vieira and Curry will take a quintessential American vacation filled with hiking, boating and canoeing, and they will try one of the regions oldest sports, fly-fishing. The two will explore the natural beauty of the Adirondack Mountains and discover why Lake George is often called "The Queen of American Lakes." They will also take a look at the history of the area, which was a popular summer destination for such American royalty as the Vanderbilts, Rockefellers and Roosevelts. Other destinations to be visited during the week are Key West, FL, San Antonio, TX, and Las Vegas, NV. During the trips, "Today" will explore the down-home beauty of the United States and partake in accessible vacation activities in each location. The vacation series will explain to viewers and their families how to easily get to these destinations as well as others around the country.
