Tour Cayuga 25Series will focus on local businesses and reimagined visitor experience

Auburn, N.Y. - In an imaginative concept, the Cayuga County Office of Tourism is creating a series of videos showcasing interviews with local businesses. The videos will focus on how the businesses have reimagined their business model as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and what visitors can expect when they visit.

The video series gives a voice to businesses around the county, showcasing business owners and managers as they discuss how the current situation has encouraged them to make thoughtful and safe changes and to let their visitors know they truly care about their well-being and enjoyment.

In a preview to one of the videos, Alex Schloop, Director of Marketing & Creative Director for the Inns of Aurora, speaks about their outdoor adventure experiences throughout five miles of trails around the property. A new position, the Outdoorsman, is a guide for hire through concierge for fishing or archery lessons and wilderness treks. "The position was created out of the need to supply outdoor experiences and will now become an ongoing offering at the Inns," says Schloop.

"Our tourism community has stepped up to the plate and proven their commitment to ensuring their customers have the best possible experience while visiting their establishments and Cayuga County," notes Karen Kuhl, Executive Director of the Cayuga County Office of Tourism. "Our intention with this video series is to give our local businesses the opportunity to convey, in their own words, the commitment they have to providing an overall safe, positive and enjoyable experience for their guests."

The video releases began in August and new videos will air throughout September.  The videos can be viewed on the Cayuga County YouTube channel and are posted to the Cayuga County Tourism website, at tourcayuga.com
