Waterloo Library & Historical SocietyWaterloo, N.Y. – If you give a human a cookie, they will probably eat it. When they eat it, they will probably feel guilty. And if they feel guilty, they will probably want to go for a run.

But if they do this fun run, they can have their cookies and eat them too. Join the Waterloo Library and Historical Society for its second annual Milk & Cookie Fun Run, which is being held virtually this year and must be completed by Saturday, Oct. 10.

This family friendly race, inspired by Laura Numeroff’s “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie,” will tickle your taste buds and benefit the library. With their registration, participants will receive a one-of-a-kind Cookie Run Medal, ingredients to make their own cookies, and an activity pack with a cookie mouse. All participants under age 5 will receive their own copy of this year’s book, “If You Give a Pig a Party.”

Participants can pick up their items during normal library hours on Monday, Sept. 28 and Tuesday, Sept. 29. Participants can take pictures with their cookie mouse and submit them to the WLHS email or Facebook event page to be entered for additional prizes.

Registration is open now, and entry fees cost $25 for adults, $15 for children ages 5 to 18, and free for children under age 5. Proceeds will support the Waterloo Library and Historical Society. For more information, call 315-539-0533 or email contactWLHS@gmail.com.
