On the Hill
Two Catskills ski resorts tower over the rest - Windham and
Hunter. Windham, known for offering an array of family-friendly terrain and activities - the Adventure Park has pint-sized snowmobiles and a corresponding track for kiddos - has undergone a massive multi-million dollar upgrade for the
2015-16 ski season. New this year, a Demo Center that allows guests to take new gear for a spin, improvements to the terrain park, and a new Alpine Spa and Yoga Center offering "Snowga," yoga in the snow.
At Hunter, guests can expect more intermediate-to-expert
terrain, massive amounts of fun at the "Largest Snowtubing Park in New York State," incredible baselodge amenities, and dining. Guests who want a little nocturnal adrenaline rush can check out the New York Zipline Canopy Tours' new Night Zip. Available on the Mid-Mountain Tour, the experience involves six ziplines, four rope bridges and a 65 foot rappel, guided by illuminated tree platforms.
