Lake Placid, Adirondacks, USA - The Lake Placid CVB / Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (LPCVB/ROOST) is pleased to announce the relaunch and redesign of the official destination website for the Whiteface Region. The redesign essentially "reskinned" the existing content on the site with a new look. However, the new site incorporates what is referred to as agile design. "This agility allows smart phone users to navigate the same content that is visible to desk top users, said Carol Joannette, executive vice president of sales and marketing. "You can easily check out how the site will change to fit your browser by manually resizing your window." Like the other LPCVB/ROOST destination websites, the new Whitefaceregion.com is designed on an open source content management system. This allows staff to more easily add new content to the site on a consistent basis, a must-do to ensure search engine optimization. In addition to the Whiteface Region site, LPCVB/ROOST developed and maintains the lakeplacid.com, lakechamplainregion.com, and schroonlakeregion.com destination websites.
