windham-mountain.jpgWindham, N.Y. - Windham Mountain is going to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest Torch Lit parade this Saturday, March 6, 2010.The time of the event will be at dusk, around 6 p.m.   The current World Record is a torch lit parade with 624 people, held in Portugal in January of 2010. "We excited to bring this world record attempt to Windham Mountain," said Patrick Del Rosario, Entertainment Manager at Windham Mountain.  "We've tailored the event to make it family-friendly so any skier can be involved in this history-making event."   Flashlights and glowsticks (provided by of Albany, NY) will be provided, in place of actual torch flares.   All participants must register at and attend a mandatory meeting on March 6th at 3 p.m. on the Valley Side of the 2nd Floor of the base lodge.  There will be an Aprés Record Breaking party sponsored by Guinness in the Base Lodge after the record is broken.   For more information, contact Patrick Del Rosario at 518-734-4300 ext. 1358 or   Windham Mountain, located in the northern Catskills town of Windham, New York, is a family-friendly winter resort that offers skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing and many other winter activities.
