Ft. StanwixRome, N.Y. - Fort Stanwix National Monument invites you to the kickoff event for the Walk With History program on Saturday, June 7 from Noon to 2 pm. The event will feature a health fair on the fort's west lawn highlighting the services of several local healthcare organizations, including the American Heart Association and Rome Memorial Hospital. Staff and volunteers from the participating groups will be providing demonstrations and screenings about healthy living. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about, and sign up for, the new "Walk With History" program at the park.

Lake Placid, N.Y. - Whiteface Mountain has just announced that with 85 % of its terrain still available for skiing and riding, the 1980 Olympic Mountain will operate daily through Easter Sunday, April 20. That means top-to-bottom carving and turning over the greatest vertical drop East of the Rockies.
