New York State has long been a crossroads for civic, cultural and historic firsts. This year, the Empire State is celebrating major milestones including the 100th anniversary of Women's Suffrage in New York, the bicentennial of the Erie Canal, the Lake George Steamboat Company's 200th year in service, the 50th anniversary of the Antique Boat Museum, the 150th anniversary of Frank Lloyd Wright's birth, the New York State Police's 100-year anniversary as well as the centennial of U.S. involvement in World War I.
