THE “I LOVE NY VIRTUAL EASTER EGG HUNT” SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES

1. HOW IT WORKS:  The “I LOVE NY Virtual Easter Egg Hunt” is a sweepstakes sponsored by Empire State Development (“Sponsor”) that is encouraging our social media followers (“Entrants”) to scour through the iloveny.com website to find 12 Easter eggs, which spell out a hidden phrase. Once the entrants have found all 12 eggs, they must decode the phrase, then submit a form and enter the hidden phrase answer on a landing page on the iloveny.com website. No purchase is necessary to enter the sweepstakes.
2. ELIGIBILITY:  The I LOVE NY Virtual Easter Egg Hunt is open to residents of the 48 contiguous United States, aged 18+. Employees of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and internet agencies (collectively “Related Parties”) their immediate family members (spouse and children) and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes
3. HOW TO ENTER: A landing page with a submission form will be created on the iloveny.com website for those participants who wish to enter in for a chance to win. They will be required to fill out a form and the hidden-phrase answer. Participants have until 11:59 pm EST on April 13, 2021 to submit their form to enter the sweepstakes. Only one entry allowed per person."
4. WINNER SELECTION: Out of those who submit an online form with the correct hidden-phrase answer and all other required fields, one winner will be selected at random.  
5. PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV’s”): 
6. PRIZE: The prize will be a summer-themed I LOVE NY swag bag, which includes: a canvas/tote bag with a beach towel, baseball cap, flip-flops, golf ball set, t-shirt, sticker, keychain, and buttons/pins.  The approximate retail value of this prize bag is _$100______
7. GENERAL RULES:    Entrant/winner (and parent/legal guardian if Entrant/winner is a minor in his/her state of residence) agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless Empire State Development, the Department of Economic Development and the State of New York from and against any and all liability (including damages caused or claimed to be caused) arising out of participation and/or acceptance/use of prize, and agree to be bound by the Official Rules which are final.  Entry into the sweepstakes and/or acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use Entrant’s/winner's name and/or likeness and/or Submission for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, including a winners’ list, unless prohibited by law.    
   
   NOTICE:  ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.  Not responsible for faulty, incorrect, undeliverable or mistranscribed phone/email  transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion.  Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable emails resulting from any form of active or passive email filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or email client or for insufficient space in user's email account to receive email.  Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the promotion if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration or security of the program as determined by Sponsor, in their sole discretion.  In the event of termination, a notice will be posted online and all eligible entries received prior to termination will be included in the sweepstakes.  Any damage made to the Web Site by an Entrant will be the responsibility of the Entrant and/or the authorized email account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  Proof of submitting entries will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.  Any entries which are suspected of being fraudulent (including those using robotic, automatic, programmed or similar methods of participation) will be disqualified, based on determinations made solely by Sponsor.  Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.

This contest is void wherever restricted or prohibited by state or local laws.
