PLAYS, MUSICALS, COMEDIES, & MORE! For nine weeks every summer, professional actors and actresses perform in a variety of productions in downtown Glens Falls. These musicals, comedies, and dramas are often hilarious and heartbreaking, drawing from the deep talent of the performers. A typical Adirondack Theatre Festival includes four mainstage productions and four special events. ORIGINAL PRODUCTIONS Every production is original – when you come to the Adirondack Theatre Festival, you’re seeing a brand new show! The plays and musicals are never older than five years. Many premieres at the Festival have gone on to receive productions in New York City, across the country, and internationally. Schedule of shows for 2023: June 28 – July 8: The Last Wide Open - A comedy by Audrey Cefaly with music by Matthew Nielson and new translations by Juan Francisco Villa. July 14-16: Pump Up the Volume - A concert presentation of the new rock musical based on the iconic 1990 Christian Slater film. Directed by Dave Solomon (Tootsie first national tour), with a book by Jeremy Desmon and music by Jeff Thomson. August 3-9: Tuning In - The biggest show in the 29-year-old company’s history, featuring thirteen actors and an orchestra of ten. The Tony- and Emmy Award-nominated creators of Adirondack Theatre Festival’s 2018 smash hit Front Page Flo return!
