171 is a nonprofit community arts center that features rotating exhibitions of contemporary regional art which are free and open to the public. Throughout the year, we provide a variety of visual and performing art classes and live cultural performances to locals and visitors alike. For more than half a century, we have been an artistic and cultural hub for the greater Corning area, significantly impacting the vibrancy of the community and economy of the Finger Lakes region. The arts center cultivates an environment of belonging where people of all ages and abilities share artistic experiences and pursue lifelong learning. 171 is a celebrated destination for dance, music, theater, culinary arts, ceramics, tai chi, visual arts, and fencing! Our historic Corning campus is comprised of two stunning examples of 19th century architecture.
