A.J. Read Science Discovery Center at SUNY

Details

SUNY Oneonta’s A.J. Read Science Discovery Center is a free, hands-on museum for people of all ages and abilities. Our mission is to connect visitors to the joy and power of the scientific process through authentic, interactive exhibits, and to serve as the indispensable Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) resource for the SUNY Oneonta community and wider region. We are free and open to the public. In addition to open visiting hours, the Science Discovery Center plans special public events year-round, including workshops, live demos, summer camps and more. The Center hosts a series of Science on a Saturday events that include live matinee star shows at the SUNY Oneonta Planetarium. Our exhibits are suitable for all ages and abilities, and we host many group visits and school field trips. The A.J. Read Science Discovery Center is a hidden gem, so come check us out! We are located in the Physical Science building on the beautiful hilltop campus of SUNY Oneonta.
