The Motel is located on the Historic Aspinwall Homestead settled in the early 1800s. The home was once used as a blacksmith shop, farm, and lodging for travelers prior to the Motel facility being built in 1988. It was a stop on the Underground Railroad and visited by Stonewall Jackson while being treated by local physicians. The registration desk is located in historic Aspinwall House so all visitors can experience a little bit of history.
