The Avon Preservation & Historical Society is home to a wide variety of collections, unique photographs, historical documents and local memorabilia. Our mission is to interpret and preserve the history of our local Avon, NY area. We provide diverse historic resources for the public through the use of extensive research materials, free educational programs and our fine museum. We are proud to be located in the historic Avon Opera Block, hosting a treasure trove of artifacts in our Museum at 23 Genesee Street, and a selection of books and commemorative gifts. We host several free programs throughout the year.
