Bridge Music was created by recording the surfaces of the Mid Hudson Bridge (cables, guard rails, girders, etc.) to compose original music, making the Mid Hudson Bridge the largest percussion instrument in the world. The music contains no other tones than those of the bridge itself. Walk out to the bridge's towers and press a button at the Listening Stations (April through October) or listen from your radio (year-round, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on 95.3FM) at Johnson/Iorio Park, Haviland Road, Highland. Launched during the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s voyage up the Hudson River, Bridge Music is a sister project to Bertolozzi's Tower Music created on the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
